Academy for Educational Development (AED) manages scholarship programs for USAID.
The goal of the program is to train a new generation of Indonesian leaders in suchfields as Education, Health, Environment, Governance and Economics.
AED is nowlooking for a dynamic person for the position of a Program Specialist (Temporary for 3 months).
The deadline of receiving applications is September 6, 2010.
Position Summary:
The Program Specialist will support the recruitment, selection, and in-country support of participants for long-term training.
- (S)he will handle all details related to preparing participants for their program overseas.
- (S)he will confirm the return of participants following completion of their programs, administer follow-up questionnaires, and make the initial links of the returned participants into alumni association development efforts.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist the DCOP/Senior Program Specialist in:
· Marketing the program among the academic, private sector, and NGO communities in Indonesia,
· Participant selection, including such tasks as candidate invitation, application, and language proficiency determination.
Be responsible for the management of:
· Preparation of participants for their programs overseas, including orientation, preparation of objectives memos and action plans, and logistics,
· Return of participants following completion of their programs, including confirmation of return, administration of follow-up questionnaires, and initial links of the returned participants into alumni association development efforts,
· Maintenance of documentation relating to training participants and training activities and post-activity interviews.
Education:
BA/BS or Sarjana degree
Duration of Work: 3 months
Starting Salary
Commensurate with education & experience

Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience managing long-term training programs
Knowledge of training management, Financial Management, Project management and administration.
Skills:
- Management & Problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of financial management.
- Ability to work with local government, private, NGO and US government institutions and organizations.
- Verbal and written English skills.
- Microsoft Office Applications such as Word and Excel.
